SF Declares December 2009 Zynga month!

by on April 12, 2010

Yup–I’ve got it all right here – City and County of San Francisco’s official Proclamation, signed and sealed with Mayor Gavin Newsom’s John Hancock. I mean, seriously. How cool is this! The Mayor came to Zynga’s offices last Friday to let us know how much he appreciates the innovation and job opportunities that Zynga has brought to our community. He had this made up – naming December 2009, Zynga Month in SF!

I particularly like this part:

WHEREAS, Zynga has pioneered the realm of social gaming and
has forever changed the landscape of how games are played; Mark’s contribution
reflects the best of San Francisco by taking new ideas and changing the way we
live; and

WHEREAS, San Francisco is a city of innovators,
entrepreneurs, and big thinkers, driven by the ideas of possibility; companies
start and grow here because of an entrepreneurial ecosystem that can take ideas
to market faster, more effectively, and more successfully than other locations
and there is no other company that represents this better than Zynga

Thanks Gavin and the City and County of SF! We love you!
