FarmVille fans across the world – hope you packed your Nantucket reds and boat shoes! Today, we’re very excited to announce the launch of FarmVille Lighthouse Cove to our most popular game of “plant,  plow and harvest.” Lighthouse Cove is Zynga’s newest expansion – that gives players a farm like never before – think FarmVille meets Martha’s Vineyard!

Players above level 15 will travel from crop to coast with an invitation from Brenda – a widow and resident of the Lighthouse Cove, who needs help restoring the area to what it once was before a terrible storm hit. Once players are settled in and clear the seaweed – they’ll follow a series of quests, and have the opportunity to plant new crops, open a bed & breakfast, and celebrate the turn of the seasons! Don’t worry, you won’t leave the Lighthouse Cove without getting a taste of town. Players take advantage of being right on the water by cooking up a variety of local cuisine, including clam chowder with clams they harvest from their cove. Even the animals are getting into the fun of the coast – with cows sporting spiffy sailor hats.

At the end of the day, we understand that there’s no place like home, so players can build up their getaway at Lighthouse Cove, and go back to their home farm anytime they want.

This isn’t the first time we’ve given players a chance to take a vacay. Players traveled to the English Countryside in March of this year with FarmVille’s first expansion – where players tried their hand at farming in a new continent, with all new crops, buildings and for the first time ever, sheep breeding. In addition, “little monsters” visited a Gaga-fied farm in May, complete with something that looked a tad bit different. We’re talking unicorns, glitter and motorcycles!
