Introducing Gems With Friends: Zynga’s Next With Friends Game Will Make Your Think-Fast Skills Dazzle

by on August 9, 2012

Zynga’s sixth title in the popular With Friends franchise has arrived, giving you the chance to play with gems right on your mobile device. Gems With Friends is a completely new With Friends game with fast-paced arcade-style game play that brings social brain teasers to a whole different level, and is brought to you by the team behind cultural sensations Words With Friends, Scramble With Friends, Hanging With Friends, Chess With Friends, and, most recently, Matching With Friends.

In a battle against the clock (three rounds of game-play and two minutes per round, to be exact), Gems With Friends players combine three or more numbered gems to score points. Drag and drop pieces as fast as you can and when three or more gems of the same type are combined, they disappear to form a higher number gem where the match was made.

Looking to boost your total points? Players receive one free Power Gem before the start of each game and can use them as wild cards to combine any two similar gems.  Players can use up to three Power Gems – with many having additional powers, giving players the chance to find their favorite combination.  And, because Gems With Friends uses numbered gems, it can be enjoyed by everyone, everywhere, no matter which language you speak. Playing in English? Cool. Espanol? No problemo. Français? Pas de problème.

The sixth game in the growing With Friends franchise, players will feel right at home with Gems With Friends – instantly recognizing signature With Friends features such as in-game chat, board game-style layout and easy to learn, yet hard to master strategy. With Friends games have grown to become a global mainstream franchise – when players see the With Friends name they know their friends will be playing too.

Gems With Friends is available today in Canada and for iOS devices on the App Store, and will be coming soon globally. Get ready for an exhilarating two minutes on your mobile device (trust us, your eyes will move so fast you might be seeing gems long after the game is over).
