Running a restaurant isn’t easy. From décor and location decisions to customer service and food – there are endless components that go into making a good restaurant truly great.

And the same can be said for ChefVille. In ChefVille, which launched in August and is already the No. 1 game on Facebook, players learn firsthand what it’s like to run a restaurant, but without all the growing pains of owning a real eatery. But, that’s about to change!

Beginning today, Robert Irvine, host of Food Network’s Restaurant: Impossible, will face his biggest challenge yet as he dishes out some tough love and helps ChefVille players enhance their in-game establishments.
On Restaurant: Impossible – currently in its fourth season and one of Food Network’s most popular shows – Irvine works to revive struggling restaurants. In ChefVille, he’ll do the same, helping players avoid the common pitfalls that restaurateurs often run into – from under seasoned dishes and outdated décor to budgetary constraints.

Throughout the next two weeks, ChefVille players can go on a series of quests cooked up by Irvine – who appears in the game as a muscle-bound, bespectacled avatar. And, in a fun new twist, for the first time ever Zynga and ChefVille will be featured in a commercial slated to air on Food Network during Restaurant: Impossible show times.

So, what are you waiting for? Pick up your whisk and start cooking with Irvine today to see is you have what it takes to tackle Restaurant: Impossible:

Also, while you’re at it, go check out the ChefVille Facebook fan page: We’re nearing our 1 billionth dish cooked in ChefVille and – to celebrate – will donate $50,000 to fund up to 200,000 school meals. All funds will be donated to the World Food Program USA (, which works closely with the United Nations World Food Programme.

Who knows, maybe you’ll cook up the special billionth dish in ChefVille!
