The Killers and Jimmy Kimmel Bring the Holiday Spirit to FarmVille 2: Country Escape!
Jingle bells, jingle bells, The Killers and Jimmy Kimmel are on their way! To celebrate the season of giving, The Killers and Jimmy Kimmel are teaming up with Zynga and Apps for (RED) on a fantastic holiday song to help fight AIDS.
Starting today and available through December 7, players can stream The Killers and Jimmy Kimmel’s song “Joel the Lump of Coal” for free exclusively in FarmVille 2: Country Escape. The song is also available for download on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch through iTunes with 100% of the proceeds going to (RED)’s fight against AIDS.
“This is our ninth year giving back to (RED) and the fight against AIDS with our versions of holiday carols,” said Ronnie Vannucci, drummer for The Killers. “Each year we like to spread out and collaborate with our friends. This year, after staying up way too late drinking ‘nog with our pal Jimmy Kimmel, we made yet another one, about a lump of coal. We’re really excited for everyone to hear it.”
This holiday season, Zynga and Zynga.org are HONO(RED) to be a (PRODUCT)RED App Store partner, inspiring players in two of our flagship games to raise money and awareness to support the fight against AIDS. In addition to streaming “Joel the Lump of Coal”, through Sunday, December 7, FarmVille 2: Country Escape and CSR Racing are featured in the Apps for (RED) collection – only available on the App Store – giving players on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch the opportunity to purchase special, limited edition in-game (RED) items with 100% of the proceeds going to (RED)’s fight against AIDS.
Since 2009, Zynga.org’s mission has been to connect players with opportunities to make the world a better place. Over 5 million Zynga players have participated in 150 in-game campaigns supporting 50 charities and causes worldwide.
Visit FarmVille 2: Country Escape to stream “Joel the Lump of Coal” and then head to the iTunes to download the song and help deliver the first AIDS FREE GENERATION in over 30 years!
